1.What is the Carbon (graphite) ?

Carbon in its graphite form is a remarkable mineral composed entirely of carbon atoms arranged in layers. This gives it a black color with a metallic, silvery luster. Its layered structure allows for perfect cleavage in one direction, which enables the formation of thin, flexible sheets. Graphite is very soft, with a hardness of only 1-2 on the Mohs scale, and it has a specific gravity of 2.2, making it lightweight compared to other metallic minerals. With a melting point of around 3,600°C, graphite is incredibly heat-resistant and has excellent thermal conductivity (119-165 W/m·K) and high electrical conductivity (1,000-100,000 S/m), making it useful in high-temperature and electronic applications.

In this article, we study the chemical graphs of carbon graphite and crystal structure of cubic carbon. Moreover, we compute and give closed formulas of degree-based additive topological indices, mainly the first and second Zagreb indexes, general Randić index, atom bond connectivity index, geometric arithmetic index, fourth atom bond connectivity index, and fifth geometric arithmetic index of carbon graphite denoted by CG(m, n) for t levels, and crystal structure cubic carbon denoted for n levels.

, Molecular description of carbon graphite and crystal cubic carbon structures [Canadian Journal of Chemistry 14 March 2017]

Graph theory is used for modeling, designing, analysis and understanding chemical structures or chemical networks and their properties. The molecular graph is a graph consisting of atoms called vertices and the chemical bond between atoms called edges. In this article, we study the chemical graphs of carbon graphite and crystal structure of cubic carbon. Moreover, we compute and give closed formulas of degree based additive topological indices, namely hyper-Zagreb index, first multiple and second multiple Zagreb indices, and first and second Zagreb polynomials.
